Nos despertamos a las 5 de la mañana para ver amanecer. Era nuestro último día en Bolivia. Vimos geisers, nos bañamos en termas, y seguimos recorriendo el desierto. Ese día teníamos previsto cruzar la frontera, decir adiós a Bolivia y saludar a Chile por primera vez. Nos habían comentado que la frontera chilena era un coñazo, la más estricta de todas, y más te valía que el policía hubiera echado un buen polvo el día anterior, porque sino te podías tirar ahí unas cuantas horas…
We woke up at 5 in the morning to see the sunrise. It was our last moments in Bolivia. We managed to see erupting geysers, bathed in natural hot springs at 4000 m above sea level and continued our path through the Dali desert, towards the boarder with Chile, which we intended to cross. We had heard that this boarder crossing was the strictest in all of South America. It's one of those boarder crossing where you hope the immigration officials got laid the night before, insuring you a smooth and some what quick boarder crossing.
Pero no fue así, los problemas los encontramos una vez más en Bolivia. El arresto no era suficiente, los policías necesitaban despedirse de nosotros a su manera…
Bur our problems didn't start in Chile, but on the edge of it's boarder, still in Bolivia. It seemed as if the arrest in La Paz wasn't enough and the bolivian authorities wanted to say good bye in their own special way…
